What it does

Claude Duet is Anthropic's research preview of a proactive agent, opened October 21, 2026. It is a standalone app for iOS and Android, and on the web at claude.ai, separate from the main Claude app. Anthropic says it runs on Claude Opus 5.5, is included with Pro and Max plans for subscribers in the US, and is offered through a waitlist. Team and Enterprise plans are not included yet. It uses the memory, skills, and connectors on a Claude account, can keep working on its own computer in the cloud, and is designed to ask before it sends a message, makes a payment, signs a document, or deletes anything. The help center says the preview is included at no extra cost and shares the plan's usage limits, including background checks.
