OpenUI
MIT-licensed open standard so agents can stream UI from your own components.
Also known as OpenUI Lang
What it does
OpenUI is Thesys's open standard for generative UI. You register the components a model may use, the model streams OpenUI Lang, and a renderer draws those components as the tokens arrive. The GitHub release of @openuidev/lang-core 1.0.0 on October 12, 2026 adds custom functions, custom actions, library.extend, and a stored-message format. The repository is MIT-licensed. The 1.0 notes say Vue, Svelte, and Angular stay on 0.4, and that the new language features need the React renderer for now.
Who is OpenUI for?
Developers who want agents to stream interactive UI built from their own components.
