Comparison

What it is

Opus Clip

A web clipper that finds shorts in a long video, captions them, and exports them for social feeds.

Vizard

A web clipper that finds shorts in a long video or livestream and captions them. The livestream page takes a YouTube, Twitch, or Zoom link.

Best for

Opus Clip

People who want one clipper to make the first cut, including streams and a gameplay layout.

Vizard

People who already ran a clipper and want a second set of moments from the same kind of long video.

Pricing model

Opus Clip

Freemium. On 1 Nov 2026 the pricing page listed Free at $0, Starter at $15 a month, Pro at $29 a month, and Business as custom. The credits article says processing costs 1 credit per minute, Starter includes 150 credits a month, and Pro includes 300 a month per pack.

Vizard

Freemium. On 1 Nov 2026 Free was $0 with 60 credits a month, and the page says 1 credit equals 1 minute of video. Creator and Business are the paid cards, with a 50% off mark. A 25 Oct 2026 read of the same page, kept on the Vizard listing, showed Creator at $29 and $14.50 a month ($174 a year) and Business at $39 and $19.50 ($234 a year, plus $5 a month per extra seat).

Free tier

Opus Clip

Yes. Free export is not watermark-free. Animated captions on Free carry a watermark. Media storage expires after 3 days, and MP4 export is limited to 3 days at up to 1080p. The only aspect ratio on Free is 9:16.

Vizard

Yes. Free includes AI clips, the video editor, 720p export, and 3-day storage. The 25 Oct read also listed no watermark, 4K export, and scheduling on Creator, not on Free.

Platforms

Opus Clip

Web app. The import article lists public links, including YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Zoom, and a local upload. The pricing page does not list a desktop or mobile app.

Vizard

Web app. The livestream page says you paste a YouTube, Twitch, or Zoom URL or upload a file, and you can resize to 9:16. It also lists posting to YouTube, TikTok, Shorts, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

Key strengths

Opus Clip

Captions, multi-language transcription, and a screenshare and gameplay layout are on the pricing table, including Free. Pro adds 1:1 and 16:9, moving-object tracking, a scheduler, and bulk export. Starter is the first plan with watermark-free export.

Vizard

A transcript editor for the clips, auto-captions, and a 9:16 resize. The Creator card on the pricing page lists 4K export, no watermark, social scheduling, and 100 GB of storage.

Limitations

Opus Clip

Free storage expires after 3 days, and Free export is watermarked. The 1 Nov pricing page showed monthly prices and did not show an annual discount. It is a general clipper with a gameplay layout, not a tool that scores kills and wins.

Vizard

Paid dollar amounts did not render in the page source on 1 Nov 2026, so the $29 and $39 figures are the 25 Oct read, not a price card from today. Free export is 720p, and Free storage lasts 3 days.

Prices were checked against the sources below on Nov 1, 2026. They exclude tax unless a source says otherwise, and they change. Where a figure could not be pinned down, the cell says to check the site.

Questions

Is Opus Clip or Vizard better for Twitch?
They do different jobs on the same kind of link. Opus Clip's import article lists Twitch and Kick, and the pricing table includes a gameplay layout. Vizard's livestream page says you can paste a Twitch URL and resize to 9:16. The twitch-clips shortlist still puts a gaming highlight tool ahead of both. This page does not change that order.
How much does Opus Clip cost?
On 1 Nov 2026 the pricing page listed Free at $0, Starter at $15 a month, Pro at $29 a month, and Business as custom. The credits article says 1 credit equals 1 minute of source video, Starter includes 150 credits a month, and Pro includes 300 credits a month per pack.
How much does Vizard cost?
On 1 Nov 2026 the pricing page showed Free at $0 with 60 credits a month, and it says 1 credit equals 1 minute of video. Creator and Business were on the page with a 50% off mark, but the paid dollar amounts did not render. A 25 Oct 2026 read of that page listed Creator at $29 and $14.50 a month, $174 billed yearly, and Business at $39 and $19.50, $234 billed yearly.
Does a partner link mean Opus Clip won?
No. Opus Clip and Vizard both have affiliate links. Each visit button says Partner link and uses rel sponsored. The verdict gives Opus Clip the first pass and Vizard the second pass. The links do not change the verdict, a score, or a ranking.
Can I export a Vizard clip without paying?
The pricing page lists a free plan with AI clips, the video editor, and 720p export. Watermark removal and 4K were on the Creator card in the 25 Oct read, not on Free. Free storage on the 1 Nov page is 3 days.
